I'm Still Here! Pictures, Pinterest, and a question for you guys...

I know you guys think I probably fell off the face of the earth, but fear not!  Haha.  I'm here, I just had to take a little break to destress from those last few weeks of school.   I don't know what it was this year, but nothing was going right and it seemed I'd never get everything finished in time for school to end!  No fun :(  Not to mention our first week of summer was jam-packed with all kinds of stuff!  Also, I have to say I think I have a little girl who might be more excited than I am that her mommy gets to stay home for the summer!!  Here are a few pictures illustrating our first week of summer :)  **Also, scroll down to the dance pics for a question regarding Picnik.**

First up, our first visit(s) to the pool...ahhhhhh...summer really hit home then :)

Does she look relaxed?  Haha.  I think she'll be swimming on her own by the end of summer!

Next up was EG's ballet recital!  She {and I} have been looking forward to this for a while!  This year's recital was at our big Concert Hall so it was on a lot larger scale than her performance last year.  I was worried she would be quite overwhelmed, but she did great!  It was hard for me to pick my favorites, so please just indulge me while I share too many dance pictures :)

{Side note:  I edited this pic {and the other dance pics} using Picnik - only free tools on this one - and thought about doing a tutorial on some of my favorite editing techniques.  Would anyone be interested in that?  I know lots of blogs do Photoshop tutorials, but not everyone has access to that program.  I thought it might be neat to show what Picnik can do.  I actually have Photoshop Elements and a premium subscription to Picnik, but so many cool things can be done with just the free editing tools.  If you're interested, leave me a comment or drop me an e-mail and let me know!}

Okay, I've probably lost most of you with all of the pictures, so that's enough for now!  These were the two biggest events of our first week home, but we also threw in a picnic in the park, a visit to the "treehouses with a splash" at the botanical gardens, a visit to our library's summer reading kick-off craft party, and LOTS more swimming!

In other news, I am working on two projects right now that I will share with you this week.  Also, I have become OBSESSED with Pinterest!  All kinds of awesome sewing inspiration, summer fun ideas, etc.  If you'd like to follow my boards, you can HERE.  And, if you need an invitation to join I'd be happy to send you one!  But, BE WARNED, you will be addicted!!
