Valentines for Friends! {Plus Free Printables}

My little one really, really, really wanted to give her girl friends at daycare bows for Valentine's Day, so I wanted to come up with a really cute Valentine card to go with them/put them on.  As for the bows, I used the {awesome} fabric flower tutorial from House of Smiths to create adorable little flower clips for each girl.

Then, little one and I came up with this design on Picnik (LOVE Picnik!) for the clips to attach to (the clips will fit over the largest flower)....

And the finished product looks like this...

I've put together about half of them...I made two different sizes because my daughter is in a home daycare with mixed ages, and the smaller bows (for the younger girls) looked funny on the bigger cards.  They are 5x7 and 4x6 sizes.  I love how they turned out, but more importantly my little valentine does too!

Obviously, the boys wouldn't really be interested in a bow for Valentine's Day...so we had to come up with something else for the 4 guys.  Again, working in Picnik, we came up with a little more boyish design with personalized conversation hearts.  She picked out little tubs of Play Doh as the little treat, and instead of a Valentine card, we ended up with a bag topper that looks like this....

I don't have any of those put together yet, but I will certainly upload pics when I do.  I designed these to top the regular size zip top sandwich bags.  Though I don't love it as much as the bows, I think it's pretty cute!

And...if you want to download either design, I've put them in my Dropbox for any of you to access for free :)  I've uploaded both the .jpg and .pdf forms of each design (just in case you want to resize the .jpg).  Both PDF designs were created with two images per page.  ***Please note that I have never tried to publicly share files on Dropbox or any other site.  Having said that, please {kindly} let me know if something isn't working, and I'll do my best to correct it.  Also, these are obviously for personal use only :)***
